Staff Association Newsletter Series: Marshmallow Chemistry/Química con Bonbones for Kids (and parents!)

The UC San Diego Staff Association and CREATE educators are offering a series of resources and guidance to help lessen stress for campus colleagues with school age students. This month’s Staff Association newsletter features bilingual videos produced by UC San Diego CREATE’s Alberto “Beto” Vásquez and Ronny Vásquez that explain atoms and molecules using mini marshmallows and toothpicks.

CREATE STEM 10+ Video Lessons: Marshmallow Chemistry/Química con Bonbones for Kids (and parents!)

How many marshmallows does it take to build an H20 molecule? The Marshmallow Chemistry and Química con Bonbones science lessons are part of the new CREATE STEM 10+ Series. The short (10 minutes), entertaining and informative STEM video lessons in English and Spanish make it fun for students and families to learn about science from their own kitchen table. A lesson handout is available on the CREATE STEM 10+ video lessons web page. Subscribe to the YouTube Channel, CREATE Facebook page and connect with us at create@ucsd.edu.
